Skin Care Basics
It’s never too early to start taking care of your skin. The earlier you invest in your regimen, the more supple your skin will feel as it becomes more mature, compared to those who have started later.
The basics are what you have to look out for first in taking care of your skin.
Keep stress levels at bay – Stress has been medically proven to aggravate pimples. It causes the body to produce more toxins that help acne-causing bacteria to flourish.
Get enough sleep – The only time that they body heals itself is during sleep at night. The dark triggers the body to produce melatonin, the hormone in-charge of sleep and immunity.
Drink water – Our body is made out of 75% water. With this reason drinking at least 8 glasses of water, especially during hot and humid weather is a must. It also keeps your skin hydrated, making it more supple.
Make it personal – Your mom would probably be your mentor in taking care of your skin, but that doesn’t mean that you should use everything that she uses. Study your skin type – oily, dry, sensitive, or combination, then choose the right tonics to use on your face.
With these tips in mind, always remember the words of the world’s most elegant woman Coco Chanel – “Nature gives you the face you have at twenty; it is up to you to merit the face you have at fifty.”
